Corrosion of steel is one of the most costly damages that results from water infiltration. Corrosion is governed by many factors, but is primarily related to access to water and electrolytes because corrosion is actually an electrochemical process that creates an electrical cell. We have performed corrosion damage investigations of reinforced concrete and steel structures. We have extensive experience with repair design and construction observation to address the unknowns that inevitably occur during the repair process because of the concealed and variable nature of the distress.
